I just beat this Half Life Overhaul Mod, and I am VERY impressed. It is literally one of the best Survival Horrors I have ever played. The gameplay, the monsters, the scares, the psychological horror, the story, almost everything is a 10/10. If you have Half Life you MUST play this! You will not be disappointed, I promise. Even after beating it there is still so much to do and unlock, this game has almost infinite replay value, including 4 player online Co-Op! Did I mention it is completely free?

Gameplay: 10/10 [The overhaul completely changes the combat from Half Life, new weapons, multiple weapon functions, the ability to combine weapons (flashlight/pistol), and even iron-sights, in a Half Life mod!]

Voice Acting/Sound: 8/10 [The main character’s voice actor has never done this thing before, and this is his first time doing it. Despite the audio sounding quiet and naive at times, you can definitely hear him grow as a voice actor in just this title. The music is all composed by the developers of the mod and it fits the game perfectly.]

Graphics: 10/10 [Running on the Half Life 1 engine, this mod completely changes everything. Nothing has been re-used from HL, and every texture/model/graphic is unique. No wonder it took them so long to create it.]

Story/Immersion: 9.5/10 [The story is on par with games such as Silent Hill for the psychological horror, and the base horror and jump-screams themselves made me jump and yell multiple times in my first playthrough. The entire time I felt compelled to find out what was happening, and why.]

Overall: 9.7/10
